Toledo’s Going Beyond Green Project Supported by a Partners for Places Grant

Toledo is one of ten communities awarded Partners for Places Grants from the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities.

The Toledo Community Foundation is a recipient of a $25,000 grant from Partners for Places – a project of the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities to support Going Beyond Green at the Neighborhood Level. The collaborative effort spearheaded by the Foundation in partnership with the Toledo-Lucas County Sustainability Commission, Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District, City of Toledo, Lucas County Land Bank, neighborhood churches, NeighborWorks Toledo Region, residents, and The University of Toledo Law School.

Going Beyond Green at the Neighborhood Level – a resident-led demonstration project in the Overland Park neighborhood that will mobilize citizens across the county to take actions that promote sustainability within their own neighborhoods.
